Most of my paintings are conceptual.

I hesitate to describe what was transpiring in my life or what I was thinking about when I develop a composition for a painting.

I prefer instead to allow a viewer to read into it what they will and what if anything, it might mean to them.

This painting describes a very solitary time.

The female in the painting is not as detailed as I would have preferred, but in the painting itself, she is very small and it is quite difficult to apply a lot of detail to very small things, in watercolor.

I've gotten much better at doing so, since this painting was developed however.
